I've seen that particular one a bunch of times. The have a couple different ads, but they all involve cleavage. But basically, sex sells everything, why should MMOs be excluded?

MMos or not but sex does appeal to a certain age group that being 15-29 and 35-45 in my opinion.. once again its my opinion as i knwo ngamers of those both groups wiht..well sex addiction problems regardless. A pretty girl with melons the size of elephant head will sell anything. Thats just us we are horny species.

There was an article only a few days ago on those ads. First off, how misleading since there's nothing like this in the game of any kind. Second, how successful the ad campaign is turning out to be. Maybe I can dig it up.

"Sex Sells" only work on horny guys. For guys who are in control of their actions (which usually means post-teenage men), women and gay guys, sex does not sell.

It's just an overall stereotype that was created by the stereotype that all/most nerds are men who are virgins and cannot get girlfriends. Seeing how the video game player base is expanding, what once may have been true is no longer the case.

Usually, sex does not sell, but for guys can easily get them interested in looking at what is being advertised.

Have you've ever seen the cover of a woman's magazine in the checkout of walmart or the grocery store? There are often topics about sex on them. Most victoria's secret TV ads are at least partially aimed at woman. Soap operas are ongoing shows about who's been doing who this week.

The evidence suggests sex sells to woman as well.
